Why Canadian Business Needs U.S. Fulfillment
Shipping directly from Canada to U.S. customers is expensive, slow, and complex. A U.S. fulfillment partner changes everything:
- Why Shipping Slows — cross-border delays average 3–7 days vs. 1–2 days from a U.S. warehouse
- Reduced Cost Per Order — eliminate international shipping surcharges and brokerage fees
- Improved Customer Satisfaction — faster delivery means fewer complaints and higher retention
- Challenging Returns Management — U.S. returns handled locally, not shipped back to Canada
- Scalability — scale your U.S. operations without hiring staff or leasing warehouse space
- Customs & Duty Reduction — proper classification reduces duties through experienced customs partners
- Customer Education Programs — smooth your U.S. launch with dedicated onboarding support

Frequently Asked
Questions
No. Canadian companies can use our U.S. fulfillment services without establishing a U.S. legal entity. We act as your logistics partner — you remain a Canadian business, and we handle receiving, storing, and shipping your goods within the United States. We can also advise on when it makes sense to establish a U.S. presence as you scale.
The inbound shipping cost depends on your product volume, dimensions, weight, and preferred shipping method (LTL, FTL, or courier). We provide guidance on the most cost-effective methods and can connect you with customs brokers for the import clearance process. Once goods arrive at our facility, receiving fees are straightforward and itemized in your quote.
Most clients are fully onboarded and shipping within 48 hours of signing an agreement. That includes WMS account creation, e-commerce platform integration, and confirming your first inbound shipment. If you need customs broker introductions, that can add a few days for first-time importers — we’ll walk you through it.
Yes. Every client gets access to our WMS (Warehouse Management System) portal with real-time stock levels, inbound/outbound logs, and reporting. You can set low-stock thresholds for automatic alerts, run inventory reports, and track aging stock — all accessible from Canada.
Yes. We support Amazon FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) for Canadian brands selling on Amazon.com. We ship directly to your Amazon customers from our Portland, Oregon warehouse. We can also prep and ship inventory to Amazon FBA centers on your behalf if you use that model.
Once we receive your inventory at our U.S. facility, goods are processed and available for fulfillment within 1 business day. Outbound orders to your U.S. customers ship same-day (for orders placed by the daily cutoff) and arrive in 1–3 business days depending on the destination.
The primary advantages are: (1) dramatically lower per-shipment costs by eliminating international carrier surcharges; (2) faster delivery — 1–3 days vs. 7–14 days; (3) no customs delays on outbound orders; (4) a domestic U.S. return address for customers; and (5) the ability to offer Amazon Prime-eligible shipping speeds without joining FBA.
